This is to bring to the Notice of the general public as a reminder that The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki(TOPS) Combined Maiden Five years convocation ceremonies for the award of diploma certificates and prizes for 2015/2016,2016/2017,2017/2018,2018/2019 2019/20 graduands will Commence with a Convocation Programme Lecture on Friday, 23rd September 2022 by Prof. SOLA ADEROUNMU, Dean Faculty of Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife at 4:00 pm, at the New 500 capacity Hall.

As scheduled by the management, The main event will hold on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Venue: New 500 Capacity Hall and all Guests are expected to be on seats by 9:00 am prompt.

The Executive Governor Of OYO state ( His Excellency, ENGR SEYI MAKINDE) will also Commission Central Laboratory Complex named after him. All concerned students are hereby urged to be available.

BARRISTER SARAFADEEN LATEEF ONIJO BECOMES OKE OGUN POLYTECHNIC GOVERNING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

Barrister SARAFADEEN Lateef also known as IRUNMOLE was appointed in 2020 as the Nigeria Army Solicitor
He emerged as the PDP candidate for ATISBO, Saki West, and Saki East Senatorial District for the 2023 general election.

Barrister Onijo is the Chairman of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA Saki branch
In the letter Dated, September 13, 2022, signed by Mrs. Adeosun Olubamiwo the secretary to The Oyo state government.

The letter read ”I am delighted to inform you that the Executive Governor of Oyo state, His Excellency, Seyi Makinde has approved your Appointment As Member, Chairman Governing Council of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic Saki on 13th of September 2022

Barr. Abiola attended the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, where he obtained LL.B and Barrister of Law degrees respectively.

He was called to the Nigerian Bar about 20 years ago.

On Tuesday, 24th of August 2022, a very indecent and disturbing sex video was leaked, and it went viral, getting lots of attentions.

In the video, a male who was identified to be a student of the institution was caught on cam, having carnal acts with a yet to be identified young lady, and the act has attracted a lot of attention from all over the state and country.

According to the Press Council’s correspondence, the video was leaked out by one of the friends of the identified student in the video, who also happens to be a student of the institution.

However, in as much as the action is a very disappointing one, the Management and necessary disciplinary committee in the institution have deem it fit not to turn a blind eye to the incident, and have started a thorough and full investigation, to take proper and necessary actions towards the disturbing video and the people involved.

As of now, all supposed speculations will then be urged to halt, until the management unfold the tales of the immoral, indecent and disturbing incident.

RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE
Nigeria is a country populated with over 200 million people, over 200 spoken languages and ethnic groups, Although some major Elite or tribes are known for some religion, for example, the Hausa, Fulani are mostly known to be Muslims, The Igbos are majorly Christians while the Yorubas has a huge diversity unlike the two other tribes above.

Today, religious missionaries and preacher spread their wings of their call to salvation and it brings about unity in diversity in tribes, for example, you will see Hausa Christians and Igbo Muslims, all living together in peace.

What brings about problem in the community is intolerance, tagging a particular religion as extremists and tagging another as terrorists and knowing clearly known to us that no religion will preach cruelty, but those practicing it might be involved in one terrible act or the other.

The beginning of the solution to problem is getting to realise the problem itself, the time we know within ourselves that we can neither have same opinion rather have same believe but still live with love, that’s when we are going to be at peace. And to those committing crimes in the name of religion, get it straight that you only hurt your loved ones, what do one gain in harming another?.

We were created in different colors, staturs, tribes, dialect, forms, that’s diversity, once we respect other people with their differences, we would restore peace to the land. Let there be religious tolerance.
