Entertainment: Tiwa Savage – How my sex tape got leaked.

By, Licit.

Popular Nigerian Hip-Hop Artiste, Tiwa Savage, claimed she is being blackmailed over a sex tape of herself and her partner.

An interview with American OAP, Angie Martinez of Power 105.1, the iconic Artiste absolved people close to her of deliberately leaking the video.

She said, “It is not from someone working closely with me. What happened is that the person did it on Snap and he posted it by accident, but he quickly deleted it”.

”However, someone got it before he could delete it. It is a very short video, but it is me. It is going to be out there and I can just imagine the memes. I just found out yesterday. I could not sleep last night.”

The singer also said she tried to manage the situation to no avail.

She said, ‘‘We tried to stall them, but I later decided that I am going to own the narrative. I am not ashamed of it; this is someone I am dating; I am not cheating, neither is he. We are grownups.

‘‘I cannot believe this is happening to me. I feel for my fans because they will have to keep defending me. I can switch off my phone or have someone run my account so I do not see that, but my fans will feel the need to protect me. I will like my fans to ignore it.”

The singer hinted that the blackmailer sent the sex video of herself and her current date to her team demanding money.

The singer, who would be releasing the video of her smash hit, “Somebody’s Son” featuring American singer Brandy, on Tuesday, also encouraged her fans who would like to protect her and defend her to ‘let it go”.

Happy Nigeria Independence Day

By, Licit.

THE PRESS COUNCIL, TOPS rejoices, on our beloved country’s 61st year of Independence which happens every 1st of October.

Nigeria gained her independence from the British Government on October 1st, 1960. The Federal Government began to mark the day as Independence Day in 1961. The Federal Government set the day as a work-free day to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence.

As we celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day, let’s remember our past leaders who lost their lives in the battle for the freedom we are enjoying today.

Every citizen should have a sense of belonging wherever they find themselves. Let all our politicians rise to the great task of building social trust between the people and the nation. By so doing, we can have peace and stability in our country.

This year, Nigeria has clocked 61, and we will celebrate it, as usual, that is why the Federal Government declared today, Friday, 1st of October as a public holiday.

Freedom does not come so easily. We are indebted to our national heroes who made this country what it is today. As patriotic citizens, let’s put extra effort to perform our own civic rights and responsibilities. Our diversities should not be seen as a weakness but as our strength. It is only by working together that we can build a resilience nation.

Happy Independence day Nigeria.

Here’s wishing everyone a happy freedom day celebration.

Wish your loved ones a Happy Independence Day too.

POEM OF THE WEEK: IMPORTANCE OF LIFE

By, ASAB WRITER.

Life is a test truly it is
Covered with many ups and downs
There will never be a life without problems and troubles.
Life doesn’t mean all
Ohh
Saying the truth with the tears from my Heart
We have to face each and every problem.
Life is gifted by Allah
But we have to shape it to a happy one.

Life is a mountain
We have to climb it to achieve success.
Life is not that how long we have lived

But how we have lived it.
Life is not about the past or the future
But it is about the present.

Our life is not just for us alone
But it should be there for all.
If you enjoy during its first half, you may suffer during the next,
If you toil hard in the first, you are rewarded in the next.
Truly life is a test
But we have to build it with our own efforts.
Life tastes sweet, salty, sour and bitter
And so let us have as it comes by……….
