NIGERIAN STUDENTS & LABOUR MARKET
Nigeria is an under developed country striving to have a better economy, though, there are lots of challenges facing the economy which include lack of social amenities, insecurity and lots more.
Nigerian labour market are full of many capacitated and highly skilled labours who are undisputably ready to venture into market and become a productive tool to the Nation, but rather, they ain’t opportuned to get into the service despite their qualifications.
Students across the country keep studying desireable courses and graduate without finding jobs, Jobs are given to those who are connected not those who are qualified. And day by day, students keep increasing in flocks, they never stop pursuing their dreams.
Solution to the problem facing Nigerian students after attaining their degrees and other qualifications are very technical to carry out. Students should venture into the business world, perhaps, the richest people ain’t employed, they rather employ the degree holders, also make use of your creativity, doing what you know to do best to earn a living is really cool, learning some skills and trade can help you have a good self employed job.
In short, Nigeria has just little or nothing to offer students, venture into the world and make your own dream happen by yourself.

It was brought to our notice that an online media called OYOINSIGHT.COM, listed our dear Institution among some other Institutions of higher learning in Oyo State for not paying workers’ salaries as at when due, claiming further that payment of salaries are extended to the following month. This is a blatant lie. The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS) has not been failing in paying her workers’ salaries as and when due as we are receiving our monthly subvention from the Oyo State Government as at when due.

The Oke- Ogun Polytechnic, Saki hereby dissociate herself from the fake publication. No member of the Institution granted audience to OYOINSIGHT.
We are enjoining the public to disregard the news with respect to the Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki. The Council, Management and Staff pledge our continued support to the government of His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Makinde.

The oke ogun polytechnic saki school days are long over. But today 21/3 /2022, students protest that no election- no examination. Different comment has come from students on the protest since there’s no elected administration for SUG on campus.
The first gate of the school was closed at the early hours, today. Students and official staff stood outside the campus amid a sea of fellow management, students, and all garbed in rainbow gear.
Demonstrators showed up in droves to peaceful protest. The school’s decision to rescind on when and how to settle the students.

As it was first reported by local report outlets, the protest started around 4am
“we didn’t expect the school management to make a choice like that,” Election should come before examination “It is wrong”that students shouldn’t have elected SUG to rule.

The school management of the oke ogun and NANs chairman, Oyo Jcc axis has finally reached to a conclusion that the SUG election will hold on Saturday 26/3/2022

A Report from Press Council Correspondence says, the DSA ultimately seems to be an Office of Fairness indeed, regarding the latest memorandum released concerning Federation of Ibadan Students’ Union(FIBSU).
The Office is solemnly entrusted with the interest of the students and it’s actually doing the assignment right.
As we all know that, FIBSU’s Executives are always by Appointment or Nomination not by Election. This has caused some internal ruckus which might later lead to unnecessary disrupt of peaceful environment around the institution. DSA has taken it as a mandate assignment and has suspends the FIBSU’s Excos Nomination on the Grand ceremony of FIBSU which we all know as Amala Day.
Although, the Ceremony is not on halt for any reason, but the new Excos nomination should be on hold for now.
Democracy is a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically free and fair elections. More so, this is 21st century, we need to give the students the right to choose who they want as leaders not by choosing for them.
In Fairness, advisers to the associations will definitely agree to this if no ulterior motive is being held.
According to reports from our correspondences, the Students will be so glad if all Departmental and other recognised associations on campus will be fair in selecting the new executives of their respectively association. Let the students choose who they want.
GREAT NIGERIAN STUDENTS! GREAT TOPSITES!
