Solution to Insecurity In Oke Ogun Polytechnic Saki

At the meeting called for by the SUE with the President of all hostel the students speak about the occurrence of robbery at hostel which is now at alarming rate victim of the robbery were present at the meeting and the share their experiences on the case of robbery after deliberation the SUE set a ten man committee to look into the insecurity issue
The sug president appreciate the committee and he stated the Mission of the committee. Also a chairman was picked alongside with an assistant chairman, the SUG said truly the student are government children, so he said the head of the team and the team will go to all necessary places for the upgrade of security.
Thereafter the SUG president brief the hostel presidents and the committee on the steps the union have taken an the issue of robbery that have been occurring mostly everyday,
And these are the steps:
*That they have meet with the OC monitoring Team in Saki
*They have meet with D.P.O
*The Amotekun
And the school management.
He stated that they are not pleased with the outcome that is why the meeting have to occur so as to deliberate on way out, he furthered by stating that a letter have been sent to the Oyo state commissioner of police on the lack of security for the students with evidence.
The SUG president also talk about the safety precautions been put out to students.
The SUE and the committee alongside with the PRESS COUNCIL TOPS visited all the security agency office to drop Letter and speak the mind of the students this are the outcome of the meeting:

As the primary duty of every government revolved round the security of lives and the properties of the people they govern, this has make it imperative for the Student’s Union Government to make sure that all her subjects are well protected and their properties remain safe wherever they’re. In seeing to this effort, the Union in collaboration with other relevant security agencies has met to discuss in details and resolved to a logical conclusion which will pave ways for all. The following measures are to be strictly adhere to by all students.

1. Beginning from Monday 27th of June 2022. Every generator must be switched off on or before 12am.

2 Security agents shall be on patrol in all Students areas from 10pm to 6am. You are hereby advise to take along your mean of identification if needs you’ll be outside late or coming from traveling. Lastly

Every Student are hereby enjoin to adhere strictly to this new changes so as to bring relatively peace back to our school and it’s environment.
