NIN IS COMPULSORY: WAEC Makes NIN compulsory for WASSCE Registration.

After the Announcement of WASSCE commencement date (August 16, 2021), the latest development comes subsequently according to reports.

   This was made known by the head of national office of WAEC in Nigeria, Mr. Patrick Areghan, at the news conference in Lagos on Tuesday.
   According to different reports, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the National Identification Number (NIN) would become compulsory for registration of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) from 2022.

   Mr. Patrick Areghan also said that, All prospective candidate must register with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)  and get their NIN because NIN would become a major requirement for registration of WASSCE effectively from 2022. He said “No NIN, no entry”.
   He emphasized that the latest development was in line with the Federal Government’s Policy as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
