The Governing Council of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, on Wednesday, 30th of December, 2020, reached a final conclusion in appointing a new Rector for the Institution who is to act in that capacity.
In an official letter released by the the Governing Council of the Institution, which is designated to Engr. M.B Fasasi with the heading “APPOINTMENT AS ACTING RECTOR”, clearly states
“I am delighted to inform you that the Governing Council of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic Saki (TOPS) at its meeting held today 30th December, 2020 appointed you as Acting Rector for the Institution.”
According to the letter, the appointment of the New Acting Rector is to take effect from the first day in the first month of 2021, 1st of January, 2021, while the incumbent Acting Rector of the Institution, Esv Ogunmola’s termination takes effect on 31st of December, 2020.
The New appointed Acting Rector, Engr M.B Fasasi, is a Senior Lecturer of the Institution, currently serving as the Dean of School of Engineering before his appointment as the New Acting Rector of the Institution.
However, a letter to butress Esv Ogunmola’s termination was released too, where his termination as the Acting Rector was clearly stated, and was appreciated for his past services and contributions to the Institution.
“I wish to inform you that the Governing Council of The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS) at its meeting held today 30th December, 2020 decided to terminate your appointment as Acting Rector for the institution with effect from 31st December, 2021
On behalf of the Governing Council, I thank you for your past services, wish you success in your subsequent endeavours and enjoin you to continue to support the overall development of the institution in other capacities.”
The two letters were released on Wednesday, 30th of December, 2020, and the the termination and appointment are to take effect on 31st of December, 2020 and 1st of January, 2021 respectively.
